Mini print depicting Albert Wainwright's Robin Hood's Bay (c.1930), part of the Wakefield Permanent Art Collection.
Born in Castleford in 1898, Wainwright was a childhood friend of Henry Moore and a brilliant and gifted draftsman in his own right. His desire to capture his daily encounters with people and places inevitably led him to create a prolific body of work comprising thousands of watercolours, sketches and drawings as well as painted ceramics, costume and set designs, illustrations for children's books and poetic works.
The Hepworth Wakefield is home to the largest public collection of Albert Wainwright's work, including several of his sketchbooks recording his travels around Europe.
Materials: Printed on smooth coated paper stock: 250gsm.
Dimensions: 280 x 356mm
The Hepworth Wakefield is a charity, all purchases and donations are vital to support our work.
We aim to dispatch most orders within 3 working days. Due to their fragile nature, artist editions and framed prints may take a little longer to dispatch.
