Caro in Yorkshire (2015) celebrated this remarkable artist with the largest UK survey of his work to date across three sites: Yorkshire Sculpture Park, The Hepworth Wakefield, and central Leeds outside Leeds Arts Gallery and the Henry Moore Institute. This accompanying publication includes essays by Peter Murray CBE, Director of Yorkshire Sculpture Park and Tim Marlow, critic and Artistic Director at the Royal Academy, whose contributions reflect decades of collaboration with Caro, discussions about sculpture, and friendship.

The exhibitions at The Hepworth Wakefield and Yorkshire Sculpture Park are introduced here with essays by curators Eleanor Clayton and Dr Helen Pheby. Caro was keen to push the boundaries of sculpture, stating, "I'm interested in the edges of art. I'm interested in where things go over from sculpture to architecture, from sculpture to painting". The complementary exhibitions and associated essays reveal Caro's engagement with architecture and painting, and celebrate his relentlessly pioneering spirit.
