We are delighted to revisit the gallery’s successful partnership with Jonathan Anderson, one of the world’s most innovative contemporary fashion designers. After the critically acclaimed 2017 exhibition, Disobedient Bodies: J W Anderson Curates The Hepworth Wakefield, Jonathan Anderson has again collaborated with the gallery on this exclusive fashion edit. The range has been produced to celebrate The Hepworth Wakefield’s 10th anniversary year and consists of a unisex t shirt, tote bag and limited edition pair of earrings.

This premium canvas tote bag features a striking graphic print which explores the human form in art and fashion, combining Anderson's signature use of fabric with pierced views to the human body. An inner zipped pocket ensures valuables can be safely stored. The Hepworth Wakefield and JW Anderson logo feature on the reverse.

Its unique design aesthetic offers a modern interpretation of masculinity and femininity by creating thought-provoking silhouettes through a conscious cross-pollination of menswear and womenswear elements.

Materials: Premium 10oz canvas tote bag with overlaid coloured canvas base with medium cotton webbing handles attached with antique rivets. Digitally printed design on front and logo on reverse.

Dimensions: 37 x 37 x 10 cm

Barbara Hepworth (1903–1975) is one of the most important artists of the 20th century. She was at the forefront of multiple avant-garde art movements, with wide-ranging interests that infused her work. Deeply spiritual and passionately engaged with political and technological change, Hepworth focused on the dynamic physical encounter with sculpture and how this could allow the viewer to both reflect on and alter their perceptions and experiences of the world.
