A fridge magnet featuring Man Ray's Observatory Time: The Lovers, 1970

The Hepworth Wakefield have created this fridge magnet to coincide with our current exhibition 'Lee Miller and Surrealism in Britain'.

The original painting was created by Man Ray at the end of his passionate, and sometimes tormented, relationship with the Lee Miller. This work is often described as being a quintessential surrealist painting, and is now an icon image from this period.

Lee Miller and Surrealism in Britain will be the first exhibition to explore Miller’s involvement with the surrealist circles in Britain in the late 1930s.

This exhibition will tell the story of Surrealism in Britain and shine a light on the little known, but exciting, cultural moment, through Miller’s lens.

Materials: Magnet with photographic coating
Dimensions:  118 x 42 mm

The Hepworth Wakefield is a charity, all purchases and donations are vital to support our work.
