John Hollington Design make home and garden-ware inspired by the clean lines and geometrical forms of modernist art and architecture.

Wall mounted birdbox, designed for small garden birds to RSPB guidelines.

The Circles Birdbox brings a little piece of geometric modernism to an outside space. It can be displayed individually, or grouped, where the visual impact of its curves and shadows will be strikingly enhanced by repetition.

The design of the Circles range has been inspired by the works of American architect Louis Kahn and Italian Modernist Carlo Scarpa. Both liked to play with arcs, circles and lines - as applied to the solids and voids within their creations.

 Materials:

Made by hand in John Hollington's York studio workshop.

Sustainably sourced European oak

Finished in UV and weather resistant oils and paint

Dimensions: 190mm x 170mm x 150mm

The Hepworth Wakefield Garden was designed by internationally acclaimed landscape architect Tom Stuart-Smith. His design draws inspiration from its unusual setting between 19th-century red-brick mills and a 21st-century art gallery, edged by the river Calder. It echoes the striking, angular shapes of the David Chipperfield-designed gallery while harnessing a naturalism that reflects Barbara Hepworth’s deep connection to the landscape.
