In 1951 Frank Atkinson, Director of Wakefield Art Gallery, organised another retrospective of Barbara Hepworth’s work, which toured to York and Manchester as part of the Festival of Britain celebrations. Patrick Heron provided the introduction to the exhibition catalogue and the exhibition was opened by Herbert Read on the 19 May 1951.

Each print is bespoke - it is produced on demand (POD) on fine art paper (280gsm): ideal for museum-quality reproductions and gives a gently textured matt surface, using a SwissQ print system: a state-of-the-art, large-format flatbed printer. Swiss-made, it’s fitted with low energy LED lights and cutting-edge UV printing processes, allowing us to print exceptionally precisely, reduce paper waste, and be more energy efficient. The inks used are vegan, VOC, NVC and TPO free.

Frames are handmade from sustainably sourced wood and acrylic plexiglass. We use 90% UV-protected shatter-resistant acrylic glazing to preserve prints from light damage and bleaching. Cast acrylic is a high-quality material, offering many benefits including 92% optical clarity. Cast acrylic is also fully recyclable
