Limited edition lithograph print by contemporary British artist Clare Woods. Woods worked with The Hepworth Wakefield's curators to choose a piece from our permanent art collection to use as inspiration. She chose Head of a Woman by Henry Moore as the starting point for her print which she titled Bobby Diamond, 2012, after the mother of an old friend.
Based in Herefordshire, Woods initially studied sculpture at Bath University but now works as a self-taught painter. She exhibited at The Hepworth Wakefield in 2011 and in 2012 she completed a huge piece, 125 meters long, for the Olympic Park in London. She has had a subsequent solo show at Southhampton Art Gallery and at Harewood House in Leeds.
The print comes unframed.
Clare Woods: The Unquiet Head was on display at The Hepworth Wakefield 22 Oct 2011 - 29 Jan 2012.
"The artist's mastery of her tools and technique make these paintings emotionally and aesthetically deeply satisfying." Yorkshire Post
