Magdalene Odundo: The Journey of Things is the second in a series of exhibition catalogues produced by The Hepworth Wakefield in collaboration with design studio OK-RM and publisher InOtherWords, who specialise in creating books as collectable objects.
This publication includes a conversation between Magdalene Odundo and Man Booker Prize winning poet and novelist Ben Okri; an introductory essay by Chief Curator at The Hepworth Wakefield Andrew Bonacina; and essays by Professor John Mack, Professor of World Art Studies at the University of East Anglia and Tania Moore, Curator at the Sainsbury Centre, Norwich.
This new publication works in much the same way as the previous title in the series, the award-winning publication, Disobedient Bodies: JW Anderson Curates The Hepworth Wakefield, exploring the dialogues and juxtapositions between the many objects on display in the exhibition.
